Accessibility Statement in accordance with the Web Accessibility Act (WZG)

Josko Fenster und Türen GmbH is committed to making its websites accessible in accordance with the Federal Act on Accessible Websites and Mobile Applications of the Federal Government (Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz – WZG), Federal Law Gazette I No. 59/2019 as amended.

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.josko.com/

The website https://www.josko.com/ is partially compliant with Level AA of the "Web Content Accessibility Guidelines – WCAG 2.1" and with the applicable European Standard EN 301 549 V3.2.1 (2021-03), as referenced in Directive (EU) 2016/2102 of the European Parliament and the Council, due to the following non-conformities and exemptions.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:

a) Non-compliance with accessibility requirements

When sharing articles from our website on social media platforms, images embedded via metadata may not include alternative text. Not all videos and iframes offer a textual alternative. We plan to address these issues as part of future development cycles.

b) Disproportionate burden

Providing audio descriptions for all videos on our website currently presents a disproportionate burden. Our videos are embedded via the YouTube platform, making the post-production addition of audio descriptions technically and organizationally difficult. As a result, WCAG success criterion 1.2.5 (Audio Description - prerecorded) is not met.

Our website contains a large number of images that are regularly updated, replaced, or supplemented in line with our editorial and visual standards. Due to the volume of image content, particularly in reference projects, product displays, and inspiration sections, it is currently not feasible to provide comprehensive alternative texts for all images published before 27 June 2025. Therefore, WCAG success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content) is not fully met. We consider a complete retrospective update of this content to constitute a disproportionate burden. For all new content published after 27 June 2025, we aim to ensure full accessibility, including meaningful alternative texts.

c) Content not covered by applicable legislation

Primarily older PDF documents are not accessible. For example, these PDF documents are not tagged, making them difficult or impossible to use for screen reader users. Therefore, WCAG success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value) is not met. If you experience issues with specific documents, please let us know. We will prepare accessible versions of the content upon request and replace or supplement the documents with accessible alternatives. We aim to ensure that all new documents are made accessible before publication in accordance with WCAG 2.1 and PDF/UA standards.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was created on 16 June 2025. The assessment of the website’s compliance with the WZG and Directive (EU) 2016/2102 was carried out through a self-assessment according to WCAG 2.1, conformance level AA, and a third-party evaluation. Individual page content is regularly reviewed by the web editorial team upon the publication of new content. This statement was last reviewed by the web editorial team on 16 June 2025.

Enforcement procedure

If you do not receive a satisfactory response from the contact provided above, you can submit a complaint to the Complaints Office of the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). Complaints can be submitted electronically using the complaints office’s contact form.

The FFG will assess whether the complaint concerns violations of the Web Accessibility Act, particularly shortcomings in meeting accessibility requirements by the federal government or institutions attributable to it.

If the complaint is justified, the FFG will issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the relevant legal entity and suggest measures to remedy the identified shortcomings.
