Flush-mounted

What sets our flush-mounted windows apart
- Maximum flush with the surface and glass: our Platin and Safir windows are flush with both the surface and the glass on the outside – the frame, sash and glass pane are all on the same level. This creates a calm, harmonious overall appearance, especially with multi-part elements.
- Everything fits together: the flush design signature runs through all product groups. In addition to windows, our front doors, side entrance doors and interior doors are also flush and appear as if they were made from a single mould.
- Genuine flushness: But flush does not always mean flush. We only describe a window as flush when the glass, sash frame and frame form a level surface on the outside. The flushness between the glass and sash frame is uniquely low at only three millimetres offset compared to other windows on the market that are described as flush.
- Easy care: Thanks to the minimal offset, dirt deposits hardly stand a chance and the flat surface is easy to clean.

What different types of frames are there?

What different types of frames are there?
In addition to flush designs, there are also traditional offset frame designs. In these designs, the mullion and transom frames are at different heights. The glass is also offset.
The slightly offset Topas windows are a compromise. On the outside, they are flush like all other windows in the modern design line. But on the inside, their offset appearance is a good compromise for a classic ambience.

FAQs about flush-mounted windows
Flush-mounted windows are windows in which at least two surfaces are flush, i.e. on the same plane. In this case, the surfaces are the glass, sash frame, mullion and, optionally, glazing bars.
But not all flush-mounted windows are the same. At Josko, we only describe a window as flush-mounted if the glass, sash frame and mullion form a flat surface on the outside. The flushness between the glass and the sash frame is uniquely low at only three millimetres offset compared to other windows on the market that are described as flush.
The window frame therefore has no horizontal surfaces where dirt and dust can accumulate. On the inside, the mullion and sash also form a flush unit, interrupted only by a subtle shadow gap.
Flush-mounted windows have the following advantages:
APPEARANCE
The biggest advantage is visual, as their flush appearance means they fit well into modern designs.
EASY CARE
The flushness of the various elements, both inside and outside, also makes them easier to care for. A flat surface is usually easier to wipe than offset frames with ‘gradations’.
There are the following different frame types: flush-mounted and traditional offset frame designs. With these, the outer frame and sash frame are at different heights. The glass is also offset.
The slightly offset Topas windows are a compromise. On the outside, they are flush like all other windows in the modern design line. But on the inside, their offset appearance is a good compromise for a classic ambience.
Flush with the frame means that the sash and frame are at the same height. If the glass is at the same height as the sash frame, it is described as flush with the glass. A window is only considered flush with the surface if both details apply.
The following Josko windows are flush-mounted:
Platin,
Safir and
Topas
Platin: Wood/aluminium material
Platin is not only flush-mounted on the inside and outside, but also Austria and Germany's most successful wood/aluminium window. Available in many wood types and finishes, Platin offers countless design options. In addition, the narrow frame allows more light into your home.
Safir: uPVC/aluminium material
Safir is the ideal complement to Platin in uPVC/aluminium in terms of the Josko Smart Mix. Indistinguishable from the outside with its flush appearance, the inside is uPVC with optional decorative foils in an equally flush design.
Topas: uPVC/aluminium material
Topas has a modern design despite its lower price. The flush surface remains on the outside. On the inside, Topas is slightly offset.
