In principle, all our window systems are suitable for renovations. Renovation ranges from quick, clean window replacement to comprehensive core renovation. ONE can also be used for core renovation – similar to new construction. ONE is not usually intended for pure window replacement without plastering work.

When replacing windows, the external dimensions are usually slightly smaller than those of the old windows. Slim frames compensate for the loss of glass surface area. This makes it all the more important to choose particularly slim frames when replacing windows in order to counteract this effect.

Terrace doors in all-glass systems let in just as much daylight into the home as lift-and-slide doors, but are more cost-effective.

Is it also important to replace windows when insulating the

Absolutely! Windows are the weakest point in the house in terms of thermal insulation, with heat loss of up to 25%! If the old windows remain in the new façade, the energy-saving effect is greatly reduced.

Can new windows be too airtight?

Absolutely not! Windows and façades must form as tight a unit as possible, with air exchange taking place via regular, controlled ventilation. Our products meet the requirements of the highest tightness classes.

How important is sun protection for new windows?

Very important! As significant as solar energy gain is for large glass surfaces in winter, this effect is just as dangerous in summer. Sun protection solutions that allow as much light as possible to pass through but shield against heat are therefore ideal.
