What sets our patio doors and balcony doors apart

  • Beautiful design: Slim frames, no glazing beads on the inside and stylish accessories create an elegant overall look. From modern and minimalist to classic and timeless.
  • Simple and uniform: Patio doors can also be combined with fixed glazing or designed as a double-leaf version. This creates generous glass surfaces flooded with daylight and a harmonious overall look – both inside and out.
  • Virtually barrier-free: with thresholds of only 20 or 30 mm, our patio doors enable comfortable living.
  • Impressive dimensions: heights of up to 3 metres are possible – available in a turn-only or turn-and-tilt version with concealed hinges as standard.
  • Endless variety of options: whether aluminium, wood/aluminium or plastic/aluminium – we offer almost limitless possibilities in terms of shape, surface finish and colour design.

Sustainable materials

100% of our wood comes from sustainably managed forests in Central Europe. With up to 80% recycled plastic and 60% recycled aluminium – without compromising on quality and design.

Less frame, more daylight

Larger glass surfaces and narrower frames on patio or balcony doors mean more daylight in the home, higher solar energy gain and a larger proportion of highly heat-insulating triple glazing.

Continuous wood grain

Our special wood gluing technique for wooden/aluminium patio doors and balcony doors makes the frames dimensionally stable and prevents visible gaps between the wood layers and the glass.

Without glazing beads

We do not use glazing beads on the wing, which makes it particularly elegant and seamless.

Triple glazing as standard

Excellent thermal insulation thanks to standard triple glazing.

Uniform handle design

For patio doors, balcony doors, windows, sliding doors, house and interior doors – all from a single source.

Plenty of daylight for those on a tighter budget

Patio doors in all-glass systems let in just as much daylight into the home as lift-and-slide doors, but are more cost-effective.

Can patio doors also have glazing bars?

Yes, patio doors with glazing bars are possible. A design with glazing bars enhances your living space with cosy, Nordic charm. Glazing bar windows combined with stylish infills are a particular highlight. This further emphasises the charm of older buildings.

FAQs about patio doors

Isotep 20 means that the same applies to our barrier-free threshold with a 20-millimetre step height as to Isostep 30. If you opt for a flush window, such as the Platin wood/aluminium all-glass system, visible hinges are used and the door can only be equipped with a turn function. The disadvantage here is that you can only open the patio door by turning it and not by tilting it.

Yes, our patio doors from Josko's avant-garde and modern design line come with triple glazing as standard. The triple glazing not only makes them energy efficient, but also stable and secure.

We recommend a minimum width of 80 cm. Anything less is not practical for everyday use. Patio doors are normally between 85 and 95 cm wide.

A popular size for patio doors is approximately 85 x 210 cm. However, you can determine the size of your door yourself. We manufacture to the nearest centimetre – depending on the window system – up to a height of 300 cm. Double doors are also popular. This gives you even more light and passage width in your living space.
