Villa Lindlux

Built between light, air and lime trees, with breathtaking views.

The light-flooded wooden house ‘Lindlux’, surrounded by majestic lime trees, impresses with its balanced design. Three interlocking structures – two gabled roofs and a centrally placed, wedge-shaped cube – form an L-shaped ensemble. This shape allows for expansive glass fronts that open up the interior generously to the garden, capture sunlight optimally and make the boundaries between indoors and outdoors almost disappear.

A STATEMENT MADE OF GLASS

This breathtaking fixed glazing measuring 3 x 4.5 metres extends over two floors and is THE architectural highlight of Villa Lindlux. Almost the entire façade is made of glass, a highly sophisticated solution. It completely dissolves the boundary between inside and outside and is a statement of openness and transparency. A window that changes the view of the surrounding nature.

Panoramic view and spacious feel

Glazed gable windows offer impressive views of the extensive garden and the Vienna skyline. The interior is characterised by generous sightlines and airy rooms that enhance the feeling of space and openness.

HARMONIOUSLY INTEGRATED

Resting on a sturdy reinforced concrete basement, the house blends seamlessly into the natural hillside location. The terrain is cleverly integrated into the architectural concept, so that both the ground floor and the basement offer level access to the garden. A flowing dialogue between architecture and nature emerges, creating a harmonious overall picture.

The house plays with the contrast between the protective, surrounding trees and the breathtaking view over the city. The generous window fronts bring nature into the house and constantly enliven the ever-changing light and weather.

COMFORTABLE HOME

Natural materials, especially wood, and well-thought-out details create a harmonious combination of modern architecture and cosiness. Eye-catcher: the window with seating creates a real picture of nature – it frames the view so beautifully. Thanks to the visually frameless fixed glass elements and the extremely narrow frames of the impressively large sliding doors throughout the villa, not a single centimetre of window frame detracts from the beautiful view of the countryside.

The large frameless bay window on the staircase visually integrates the imposing pine tree in the garden into the house. As you climb the stairs, you feel as if you are entering a tree house.

CLOSE TO NATURE

With our Nevos Glass front door and its unique glass surface with a highly reflective metallic coating, it becomes a mirror of the surrounding garden and entrance area. Combined with a frameless side panel and a top panel in the same look, it is the avant-garde design statement of Villa Lindlux.

The focus was on creating a modern interpretation of traditional timber architecture that blends organically into its surroundings and integrates nature as an integral part of the living concept. The aim was to use sustainable timber construction and a balance of openness and cosiness to create a living environment that emphasises the fluid transition between indoor and outdoor spaces and combines ecological responsibility with contemporary comfort.
